Top Quality is No Surprise at Richard’s Country Meat Market

It’s easy to get stuck in a routine; cooking what you know, week after week. Luckily, there’s a local hero in Northwest Arkansas whose goal is to help you break away from the monotony.

Richard McGinnis has dedicated his adult life to providing the superior meats and customer service that he does today. He started young in the food industry and now has over thirty years of experience from which he offers sage advice to those seeking the finest ingredients, recipes, and cooking techniques. He and a partner opened the original Country Time Meat Shoppe at 3042 N. Market Avenue in Fayetteville in the 1980s. In 1997, McGinnis took over and made it his own family business, renaming it Richard’s Country Meat Market.

Richard’s has much more to offer than an amazing variety of high-quality meats and seafood. They have party trays and sliced meats and cheeses from their full-service deli; hot soups, wraps, and sandwiches for lunch (with bread, rolls, and desserts they bake in-house); they have countless herbs, spices, and marinades, and so much more for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. After all these years, they have an impressive following of loyal, satisfied customers.

The shop’s homemade recipes use their premium cuts of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, veal, or specialty meats like locally raised buffalo to keep you coming back for more. Their best-sellers are their seasoned burgers (including a Bison Burger) made from fresh-ground beef and the classic bacon-wrapped tenderloin filet. “We’re the only place you can get Chairman’s Reserve beef in Fayetteville,” says McGinnis of his top-choice and prime-rated steaks from Tyson-owned IBP. “It’s customer service and quality that separate us from the competition.”

It’s time to gear up for warm weather and out-door cooking. Richard’s offers over 30 varieties of house-made sausages; several combinations of pre-skewered kabobs; ten different gourmet burgers (made extra-delicious and convenient with special ingredients such as bacon, cheddar, and jalapeños mixed into the patties); and all kinds of specialty condiments, marinades, homemade sides, and the freshest-baked burger buns and desserts around — making Richard’s a one-stop-shop for hosting the best backyard party ever.

If you’re looking for a fresh catch, you can expect the same trusted quality and variety from Richard’s seafood selection. With 8-12 varieties of fresh fish available on a given day; they carry quite a collection, including Yellowfin Tuna, Red Snapper, Sea Bass, Swordfish, Catfish, Tilapia, Wahoo, seasonal wild Salmon and more. They have numerous frozen fish options including Mahi Mahi; and maintain a huge variety of shellfish, shrimp platters, and dipping sauces.

From their full-service deli, offering Boar’s Head sliced meats and cheeses, Richard’s serves house-made sandwiches and wraps all day. Their rotating lunch specials and soups are served hot and fresh from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. daily. Call ahead or visit their Facebook page to see their lunch and dinner specials.

With decades of experience sourcing local products and the highest quality meats, collecting the top-selling and hardest-to-find condiments and spices, and preparing their own delicious meals from scratch; Richard’s Country Meat Market is the key to taking your culinary game to the next level. They say that variety is the spice of life; and if it were something you could season your meats with, Richard’s would carry that too.
